Established in 1964, Cacharel is a French brand of ready-to-wear clothing, perfume and accessories. Founder Jean Bousquet trained as a tailor at a technical college and worked as a designer, releasing his own fashion house before creating Cacharel. A cover shot on Elle Magazine featuring his seersucker blouse launched the company into the spotlight.

The brand epitomizes youth and femininity using cheerful colors and flirty fragrances. Bousquet is also credited with returning French femininity to the fashion forefront.

Cacharel has been a brand of L'Oreal Group since 1975. The conglomerate helped Bousquet release numerous soft, romantic fragrances for men and women of all ages and tastes. The collection includes Eden, Lou Lou, Promesse, Amor Amor, Noa, Anais Anais and Gloria, as well as Cacharel pour L'Homme and Nemo for men.
